The Ripon Canal and the Navigation Bridge leading to Littlethorpe. An oddity of this canal is that the towpath was never owned by the canal company; the lands of some neighbouring landowners went right up to the water's edge. There is a feeder into the canal from the River Skell between the two Bondgate bridges. The railway bridge, demolished after the closure of the railway line, can be seen in the distance.
