The centrepiece of Spa Gardens, the Bandstand is an octagonal cast iron structure dating from the late 19th century with ornate art nouveau detailing. It is a Grade II listed building. Behind can be glimpsed the houses on Park Street and on the extreme right the tower of the Spa Baths. Ripon City Band, formed in 1860, is a traditional brass band with its clubhouse in High St Agnesgate.
