A bustling market day scene, with crowds spanning the Square, the roads and the pavements. A horse drawn charabanc is bringing more visitors, and in front of them groups of people gather to hear a local speaker ( or possibly an auctioneer ) positioned in front of Harrisons the Printers. Next to Harrisons is the Crown Hotel. Everyone is going about their business, except for two young boys in the centre of the image, who have stopped to look up at the camera as the photographer takes the picture.
